Meet Our Leadership
Apostle Johnnell Cancer
Pastor Johnnell V. Cancer was born in the Bronx, New York, to Elder John and Bennie Cancer as the firstborn of four children. After completing his education, he served honorably in the United States Army before answering a divine call into ministry in 1993, formally preparing at the Alpha and Omega School of Ministry under the mentorship of Bishop Allen H. Simmons and Bishop Alfred E. Williams. In November 2000, he succeeded his father as pastor of Mt. Olive Sounds of Praise, later leading the ministry through a God-directed transition into Rehoboth Ministries International in 2007, where he continues to serve as Senior Pastor and Apostolic leader. Under his leadership, the church has experienced consistent spiritual and organizational growth, along with the development of multiple ministries focused on worship, discipleship, outreach, leadership, and community support. Pastor Cancer is committed to preaching holiness, teaching the Word of God, and advancing the Kingdom through prayer, service, and Spirit-led leadership.
